Urban Deli’s new beer

By on September 4, 2018

Urban Deli strives for as little food as possible to be thrown. This time a citrus layer (4.8%) is being launched, made from citrus fruits that would otherwise have been thrown.

The fruits are leftover oranges, mandarins and lemons sorted out in store, from Willys in Kristianstad. Instead of throwing the fruits, they have become ingredients in beer. For 700 liters of beer, use 30 liters of squeezed citrus fruit. The result is a mouthwatering lager beer with crispy freshness and pleasant acid.

– First we launched our Bread beer made of leftover bread and now we have taken advantage of leftover citrus fruits. It makes me proud when we succeed in making it good raised in two – good in taste and good for nature and climate, says Jesper Weidlitz, CEO Urban Deli.

Citrus lagern is a strong beer in the restaurants and bars of Urban Deli Sveavägen, Sickla and Nytorget. Trolle Ljungby-based Charlis Brewery has brewed the beer.
