Autumn break initiates November month which then will end with the first Christmas market. There between lies a fraudulently calm over Skansen. There is plenty of space for late autumn walks, the bears are sleeping and a few houses and workshops are open but behind the scenes is a frenetic activity going on. Here wraps secret Christmas presents, mustard boiled, caramels packed and lay the christmas table.

Christmas at Skansen
The first Christmas market weekend breaks Christmas out with dancing around the spruce, market booths and christmas crafts, sugar candy and fried almonds, mulled wine and marzipan and much more. New on the market this year include patchwork and island sweaters, local designers and homemade muesli. The Christmas table is decorated in a number of houses, and the craftsmen are open and working to the fullest. In the area choir’s wandering around performing Christmas songs and at Bollnestorget Ayla Kabaca is leading the Christmas dance together with the Christmas orchestra.
