Now Haga Schweizeri opens at NK with afternoon tea and cocktails

By on October 25, 2019

Nordiska Kompaniet welcomes the new café and restaurant concept Haga Schweizeri to NK’s rich Ljusgård. From October 24, you can settle down for lunch, afternoon tea or a glass of champagne and enjoy acclaimed classics in a new vintage.

Since 1915, NK’s Ljusgård has been a place for meetings and the very hub of Joseph Sach’s vision to make the Nordic Company a commercial and cultural theater. During 2019, work on Ljusgården’s food and beverage offerings has grown and now a new entrant, Haga Schweizeri, is taking over. Here you will be able to enjoy breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea and stay for an afterwork. Classic dishes will take place on the menu along with news such as caketails where desserts are combined with surprising drinks, the perfect start to an afterwork or ending to a delicious lunch.

– We are extremely pleased to welcome a new café to NK’s Ljusgård. Together with Haga Schweizeri, we will be able to offer our customers another destination for food and drink. Here you will have the opportunity to settle down and spend a good lunch or why not a glass of champagne, says Andreas Edström, department store manager of the Nordic Company.

Behind Haga Schweizeri are Anna Cardelius and Oscar Målevik, trained baker and pastry chef. Five years ago they started the Haga Cake Company and bakery and now it is time to take the step into the Nordic Company’s rich Ljusgård. The Swiss, the designation of a café with alcohol service, will offer a seasonally adapted menu with elements such as butter bread, tarte flambee and classic favorites with a twist.

– It feels fantastic to be able to move into NK with our new concept, we have long wanted to develop our food and drink offerings and with Haga Schweizeri we now have the opportunity to do so. We will offer a mix of timeless classics along with brand new dishes such as caketails, our own version of cocktails, says Anna Cardelius, founder and owner of Haga Schweizeri.

Haga Schweizeri opened October 24 on the Entrance Plan.
