On April 13, the most talented players in the Nordic meet in Super Smash Bros for tough final matches at the Technical Museum. During the day, the audience gets to try the game and be sure to be inspired by the masters’ best tricks to throw out their opponents.

The game Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the latest release in the Smash Bros series, which has been loved by critics and gamers all over the world for 20 years. On April 13, it is time for the Nordic final in the European Smash Ball Team Cup at the Technical Museum in Stockholm. The teams that have gone through qualifying matches in their home countries should now fight for the Nordic championship title.

– I am incredibly pleased that Nintendo chooses Tekniska as the arena for the Nordic final. It shows that we are an important place in the gaming world, says Linda Sandberg, program manager and co-producer of the museum’s newly opened game exhibition Play Beyond Play.

The contestants are from twelve years and up and are registered in one of the Nordic countries. They play in teams consisting of three players, and two teams from each qualifier move on to meet in the finals on April 13 at the Technical Museum. At the end of the day, when they are knocked out one by one, a winning team will take home the Nordic trophy. They then move on to the European Championships later this year.

– We are very happy to have the Nordic finals at the Technical Museum. It will be so good and a battle without its equal when these skilled Super Smash players make up for a European final, and we hope that as many as possible get there and look at the final. Expect it to be exciting, intense and a really great atmosphere, says Therese Blomqvist, Nordic Event Manager at Bergsala, Nintendo’s distributor in Sweden.

Nintendo is in place to broadcast the final live, and bring along games for the audience to try. The Technical Museum’s game floor Play Beyond Play offers a variety of games for those who want to throw themselves into the worlds of computer games.

The competition will run between 11.00-16.30 on April 13 at the Technical Museum.
