After a very successful arena tour in 10 cities can now Live Nation, together with Crown Publishing (a part of Penguin Random House), present additional dates and cities for the “Becoming: An Intimate Conversation with Michelle Obama” tour.

The tour will reach Stockholm and Ericsson Globe on April 10, 2019. Tickets via livenation.se.

The new dates include 21 performances in North America and Europe 2019, including 11 new dates in the United States, 4 in Canada and 6 performances in Europe, where Stockholm is one of these. The tour starts February 8th in Tacoma, USA, and then visits to Austin, Toronto, Atlanta, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm. The new European dates will feature an exhibition in Paris, reallocated from the original date of December 5, 2018, which was rebooked because of Michelle Obama’s return to the United States to attend President George H.W. Bush’s funeral. We also see a variation of the tour from major venues to more intimate theaters.

Different moderators for the different cities (announced later) will appear on stage for a conversation with the former First Lady. The last performance will take place on May 12 in Nashville, USA, and will end the book tour of the book “Becoming”.

Mrs. Obama is concerned that tickets are in the hands of real fans and not sold on other-handed sites. Therefore, Live Nation and European ticket retailers will implement various methods to limit the number of tickets that end up in the secondary market. Information on ticket releases for European markets is available on the respective ticket retailer’s website.

In line with her wish that the tour will be available to as many as possible, Mrs. Obama and Live Nation donate a quota of tickets in each country to different organizations, including charities and schools. These fans will get free tickets to the show in their city.

Visitor to Mrs. Obama’s performance in Ericsson Globe will hear her honest reflections on the experiences and events, both public and private, that have shaped her – from her childhood in the southern parts of Chicago to the years when she balanced the demands placed on her as mom and as a business woman, for the years she spent at the most famous address in the world. Michelle Obama has become one of the most iconic and convincing women of our time. As the United States First Lady – the first African American serving in that role – she helped create the most welcoming and inclusive White House in history, while establishing herself as a strong advocate for women and girls in the United States and around the world world.

“I couldn’t be more excited to visit even more cities across the country and around the world. I’ve been so humbled by the response to the tour thus far and the overwhelming interest we’ve received from so many communities we weren’t able to visit this year. That’s why I’m thrilled that we’re able to expand our conversations to these new settings and wider audiences. I can’t wait to continue the discussions that have been so meaningful for me and, I hope, for so many others.”, greets Michelle Obama.
