He‘s a phenomenal jazz bassist and producer furthermore to, among others, Wiz Khalifa, Earl Sweatshirt and Flying Lotus. Thundercat comes to Stockholm in December.

Stephen Bruner that is his real name, has rhythm in his blood. Although both father and brother were acclaimed jazz drummers, it was the base that Stephen fell for. Already in high school went Stephen, along with his brother, on a world tour with punk veterans Suicidal Tendencies, but it was not long before Bruner renamed Thundercat and dressed in jazz costume. His collaborations with, among others, Erykah Badu and Stanley Clark has given him the reasons for his reputation as a phenomenal jazz bassist and producer something that echoed loudly in the music world.

In recent years, Bruners focus gradually switched to hip-hop, where his funky jazz loops and voice gave life to the productions of some of the rap worlds biggest names, such as Wiz Khalifa, Earl Sweatshirt and not least the genius producer Flying Lotus. He put both bass and vocals Lotus album Cosmogramma” and FlyLo helped to produce Thundercats first album The Golden Age of Apocalypse a winning concept, apparently, radar pair continued to work together and have collaborated on the remaining productions Thundercat has released, latest on masterpiece “The Beyond / Where The Giants Roam“.
