Local | Poetry occupies Sigtuna Literature Festival August 26 to 28

With over 80 participants and varied program presents the fifth edition of the festival more poetry than in previous years. Audience success of a poetry relay on the Main Square continues for the second year in a row, Bob Hansson emerges with selected parts of his show “What’s the matter?”, And Igor Pomerantsev, Russian poet and journalist living in Prague attending the festival. New this year is an open poetry scene, where everyone is welcome to read their own or others’ poetry.
Sigtuna Literature Festival should be a place where you can stop and take time to reflect. Here, poetry is a natural place.
With over 80 program items Sigtuna Literature Festival invites you to a reading party on 26-28 August with word power at the center. A number of topical international and Swedish authors participate as Samar Yazbek, Booker Prize winner Anne Enright, Linda Olsson, Cynthia Haven, Kjell Westö, Andrzej Tichý, John Ajvide Lindqvist, Bob Hansson, Negar Naseh, Ebba Witt-Brattström, Suzanne Osten and Sven Wollter and others participate.
