Local | Icebreaker cafe, steam engines and vintage boats – summer open on Galärvarvet!

May 27-29 it is season premiere of the Maritime Museum museum ships and boat collection at Galärvarvet. Welcome aboard the lightship Finngrundet (1903) and the steamship Sankt Erik – Sweden’s first marine icebreaker (1915)!

During the opening weekend offers museum on a unique opportunity to see and hear the great steam engine, a contemporary of the Titanic, in operation. At St. Erik’s aft deck also open cafe with fabulous view of Stockholm. Join us for tours and learn knots.

In Båthall 2 shows parts of Sjöhistoriskas large collection of original craft – from the rustic boats and sailing canoes to classic sailboats, motorboats and odd royal sloops that Vasa.
Museum ships are open 11-18 and 2 Båthall 12-17.
