Local | High interest and newly established prize at the Sound, Light and Image Fair

Soon opens the doors to this year’s edition of Sound, Light and Image Fair. It is a record interest from the visitors and it will be an exciting program of seminars, exhibitions and a newly created award. All this at the Stockholm Fair May 10 to 12, while the Eurovision Song Contest will take place at the Ericsson Globe.

The industry is behind the fair and the interest is high, it is already 30 percent more than last year who have registered as visitors.

We believe it is because virtually all of the leading suppliers are in place this year and the amount of news that we already know will be at the fair attracts. We also have a seminar program which, according to those who have been at fairs for many years believe is the best ever. Besides that, we have an exclusive partnership with the Eurovision Song Contest and a premiere of a unique photo exhibition with pictures of rock stars of the world-famous Neal Preston, says project manager Bo Magnusson about the interest.

Price in memory of Pontus Bullen Lagerbielke
New for this year’s Sound, Light and Image Fair is that it will be handed out two prizes in the “Bullen awards. This is in memory of Pontus Bullen Lagerbielke who worked in the industry for many years and recently lost his battle against cancer. Bullen Visionary Award is a prize for the young, new, daring and unexpected. The second prize is Bullen Lifetime Achievement Award and is awarded to those who through their unwavering belief in what he / she does, has been a contributing factor to how the Swedish technology industry looks today. Price will in both cases consist of a glass object designed by award winning designer Erika Lagerbielke which is also Bullens sister. The winner of Bullen Visionary Award will also receive a trip to a trade show. The award ceremony takes place May 10 at 13.00 in the LLB bar.

Neil Harbisson – the world’s first cyborg

Meet the rock stars in a unique photo exhibition
Sound, Light and Image Fair and Light Power Collection presents the photography exhibition “In the Eye of the Hurricane Rock’n’Roll”, with pictures of rock stars by the famous photographer Neal Preston. It becomes one of the largest exhibition of rock photographs ever in Sweden. The exhibition offers a unique insight into the 45 years of rock history and shows up strong and intimate photos that capture musicians in their creative and personal environment

Cooperation with the Eurovision Song Contest
It is only a few kilometers from the Stockholm International Fairs , and the Globe, where the Eurovision Song Contest will be held. Therefore, it will be offered transportation to Stockholm International Fairs, the Globe for those who are there , and work with the Eurovision Song Contest. It is a great event that brings together industry and people from all over the world. At Sound, Light , and Image Fair is built up a booth where various partners for the Eurovision Song Contest, and those who work with the event will be on hand to tell in seminars about their assignments and solutions.
