Juliander debuts with “Same Moon”

By on September 24, 2017

Last Friday, 19-year-old Stockholm artist Juliander released the first single “Same Moon”. A suggestive melancholy R & B ballad about trying to stay alive in a distance relationship. The song is written by Juliander and produced by Christian Walz and Jones.

Juliander is introverted by nature, but when he talks about music, the words flow. The songs often circle around love, missing and infatuation. Musically, he was influenced early by guitar-based artists with a sense of storytelling, such as John Mayer and Ed Sheeran. In recent years he has started listening to hip hop and R & B: Jon Bellion, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Logic and Chance the Rapper. The songs are usually written on the guitar. After that they embrace a more urban production with a lot of air, all the time with Juliander’s expressive song and texts at the center. Juliander talks about the debut single:

I started writing songs myself for about 2 years ago. All the small and big steps I’ve taken in life, almost 20 years, have laid the foundation for this. It feels unreal in any way, but so right! I wrote a song in my boy room to vent my feelings about a story that really touched me. That that song now is my first single and is available to everyone’s ears, souls and hearts, feels magical. Really magical. Same Moon is my first single and I love it! This is only the beginning.
