Japan’s prime sake brewery visits TAK

Nama-Zake is a big event in Japan when the first fresh sake of the year is used to celebrate spring. In order for Sweden to experience Nama-Zake, Dewazakura Sake Brewery has been invited to Tak in Stockholm. They flying here with both their own Nama Zake and several other varieties from various premium breweries around Japan. The visit takes place on April 26th and creates a unique opportunity to try out several different Nama Zakes.

– Every year when the cherry blossoms blooms over the sake- and sun thirsty people in Japan, the first Nama-zake is drawn to celebrate spring. Of course, we want the Swedes to experience the drink in their most beautiful case and the most vivid character, said Dan Jay-Olsson, sakesommelier and Head of Operations at TAK.

During the visit of the Dewazakura Sake Brewery on Thursday, April 26, Tak serves a specially-prepared menu and accompanying beverage package. It allows guests to experience Japanese drink culture in close collaboration with Nordic raw materials and dishes signed Frida Ronge.

The evening guides consist of Akari and Shotari from Dewazakura Brewery, Sake Samurai, aka Sake man Åke Nordgren, and the Sake-sommeliers Fixi Lindén and Dan “Japan” Jay-Olsson from Tak.
