Goran Kajfeš gets his own concert series

The live music club The Fountain got a start and is in full swing every other Wednesday. Now Kulturhuset Stadsteatern further strengthens its new music scene and presents one of the country’s most interesting musicians in a completely unique concert series on the same scene. During five Wednesday evenings in the spring, Goran Kajfeš with guests take over the stage in unique constellations. Among other things, there will be interpretations of the music treasure of Ethiopian musician Hailu Mergia, electronically with Andreas Tilliander and release play for the internationally acclaimed group Angles 9’s new album.
– Goran Kajfeš is a kind of musician’s musician, an artist out in his fingertips, who stirred a lot in the Swedish music jungle. Always fearless and musical seeking with influences from all over the world. I look forward to hearing him raging freely on our new scene, says Magnus Palmquist Lunay, artistic director of Musiken Kulturhuset Stadsteatern.
Goran Kajfeš has had great success with groups like Oddjob, Goran Kajfeš Subtropic Arkestra, Tropiques, Fire! Orchestra and has played with a number of Sweden’s largest pop stars. Kajfeš has been awarded the Nordic Music Prize and several Grammy awards.
The concert series takes place at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern’s new live music scene in the middle of Sergels torg in the new all-art house in miniature “Under the fountain”. Here, the stage environment is intimate and relaxed and creates the conditions for a close encounter with the audience.
