Day and night on the Vasa ship at Christmas time

Christmas holiday is a perfect time to see the Vasa ship, and learn more about her very short and at the same time very long history. In Christmas time, it’s extra magical to see the ship where she rests in her final harbor inside the Vasamuseet, and is the museum’s obvious middle point.
Experience how life on board Vasa could be – both day and night – by participating in a family show where small and large participate together. During Christmas holidays, extra many views are given daily.
Family View: Life aboard Vaasa
On board Vasa, hundreds of people would coexist on a small surface. What would they work with? What did they eat on battery tires and how did they sleep in the elegant cabin? Life aboard Vasa is an exciting family view of life on board where children and adults together can experience the feeling of being on board the ship. Suitable for children from 4 years of age in the company of adults.
Family view: Day and night on the ship
On a sailing ship, replaces work and resting each other around the clock. We try some tasks and then go to sleep when dusk falls in the experience room under deck. Maybe we choose to sail a little bit at night …? Suitable for children from 7 years of age in the company of adults.
Children’s film: Vasagrisen
One day, the pig Lindbom left his dear clay paw and went out on a real adventure – he was going to sail with Vasa! The film is based on the book Vasagrisen written by Björn Bergenholtz. Suitable for children from 3 years of age in the company of adults.
On their own: The trail with Vasagrisen
Follow after the pig Lindbom after watching the movie! In connection with the film there is a folder of clear questions as a trail through the museum. Suitable for children from 3 years of age in the company of adults.
On your own: the family trail
By following the track through the exhibitions, children and adults can search, solve tasks and discover the museum together. Some things can be continued to pyssla with home. Suitable for children aged 6 years who goes together with the adult.
All programs, movies and shows are always included in the entrance fee, which is SEK 130 for adults and free for children up to 18 years.
