By on August 11, 2017

Dramaten’s actor Stina Ekblad, Reine Brynolfsson, Elin Klinga and Magnus Roosmann meet international top musicians such as Krysztof Penderecki, Evelyn Glennie, Truls Mørk and Sayaka Shoji during the classical music festival Aurora Fine Arts Festival, which takes place between 18 and 20 August.

Music and drama are the catchwords for the Aurora Fine Arts Festival, which puts programs on the Main stage and in Dramaten terrace, Musikaliska and also at the Royal Hall at the Royal College of Music for three days in August. There will be great symphonies of Beethoven and Shostakovich, whispering monologues for solo instruments, conceptual programs that challenge performances practices, children’s and family performances, as well as music that was just created during the performance of the festival, here and now under the leadership of Sven-David Sandström.

The composer of the festival is Victoria Borisova-Ollas, the cultural journalist Ulrika Knutson leads the conversation program Aurora Talks, the punkklezmer band Räfven stands on the Dramaten terrace in the evening and it will be the world premiere for a new professional orchestra, Aurora Chamber Orchestra, led by Terje Tønnesen.
