Color fabric with coffee-grounds

By on April 14, 2019

One step in sustainable coffee drinking is of course to enjoy every cup – another to take advantage of the leftovers, both coffee-grounds and leftover coffee.

Here is a tip from Löfbergs and Emma Sundh how you can color a spotted cotton cloth in the season’s trendiest shade.

You need:
Tablecloth (cotton or linen)
Great pot

Do like this:
Fill the kettle with water and boil up.
Add the canvas and put in a substantial amount of coffee sump (of course it goes just as well with leftover coffee).
Let simmer on low heat on the stove for an hour, and stir around the cloth very often so that the coloring becomes even.
When you feel satisfied with the result, rinse and let it dry.

Good luck!
