On August 14, Cecilia Selander Moss begins his work as an artistic director at the Royal Swedish Ballet School. Cecilia has 30 years of experience as a dancer, ballet master, administrator and project coordinator in the management of the Gothenburg Opera’s dance company.

– I see it as a privilege to work with dance. Becoming a part of forming the next generation’s dancer is an even greater privilege. I’m looking forward to sharing what I learned and at the same time being given the opportunity to develop Sweden’s absolutely primary school for dance, where I graduated in 1986, says Cecilia.

Cecilia’s mission at the school is to lead the artistic work towards the diploma objectives, in accordance with the dance education regulation and the purpose of the school to prepare students for a career as a dancer.

– Dance is an international language that speaks to people through the heart. Something that feels more important today than ever before. To me it is also obvious that ballet and modern dance go hand in hand. We need two legs to dance with. Least! I want to give students, teachers and musicians the opportunity for new meetings with the international dance world, we will aim at the stars, says Cecilia Selander Moss.
