Friends Arena will once again host one of the World Cup races in Speedway when Stockholm FIM Speedway Grand Prix is organized on September 23, 2017. It is clear, then the organizer BSI Speedway today announced all the stops in 2017 year’s Grand Prix series, which begins in Krosko Slovenia and ends in Melbourne, Australia.

– We are delighted to return to Stockholm and Friends Arena. The race in Stockholm is popular with both fans and drivers, and to carry out a Grand Prix in one of Europe‘s finest stadiums, but also in one of the continent‘s most beautiful capitals, makes it even more special. I already know that it will be a fantastic speedway evening at the Friends Arena in September, says Torben Olsen, Managing Director, BSI Speedway.

The race in Stockholm is the tenth of a total of 12 races. In this year’s World Cup series are two Swedish drivers, seventh ranked Antonio Lindbäck and Fredrik Lindgren (ranked 11), who at this year’s Grand Prix at Friends Arena took a fine third place in the final facing a jubilant home crowd. 2016 world champion, Swedish acquaintance Greg Hancock, is again top-ranked for the World Series 2017.
