Wale has released his new album “SHINE”

Wale surprised his fans with the announcement that his fifth studio album SHINE was released a week earlier. The album that was released on May 5th was released instead on April 28th.

The album contains singles such as “Fish N Grits (Feat. Travis Scott)”, “Running Back (Feat. Lil Wayne)”, “Fashion Week (Feat. G-Eazy)” and the RIAA gold-certifying hit “My PYT”.

The rapper told the news of his early release during 1633 x Genius Album Listening and Live Annotation Experience moderated by Rob Markman. Fans heard music from the new album SHINE and Wale explained the meaning behind the songs. In the audience there were not only fans and industry people, but also Joe Budden, Remy MA, Papoose, Aminé and Maybach boss Rick Ross.

Along with the news that the album was released earlier, Wale released the new single “Shine Season” that is available for listening here >>. The grammy-nominated superstar also started the evening performing the song “Trap Trap Trap” with Rick Ross on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which can be seen here >>.

To celebrate the release of SHINE, Wale will make a major US tour. “THE SHINE TOUR” begins May 5 in Tabernacle, Atlanta, GA and continues the month to the final of the House of Blues, Boston, MA.
