Vernissage at Gallery Ulfsunda with Klas Wiréhn

By on April 27, 2018

On May 5 we open the doors of the castle for vernissage with art by Klas Wiréhn, celebrating 10 years as an artist.

For ten years as an artist, Klas has been interested in the interaction between the abstract in nature’s colors and the tangible grippable in all the situations we are moving in. With its colorful and large paintings, sometimes over two meters high and wide, he catches the everyday and gladly with a sense of humor and timeliness. The paintings are often painted with acrylic paint – so much acrylic that sometimes it can take weeks for the color to dry. These are works that both take place and melt into their context.

Finding an unexpected effect in a detail, finding new concepts and shapes and reflecting the light at different angles is something that Klas likes to explore through its works. Since 2008, art has been Klas’s passion and today it is his primary job to paint.

Gallery Ulfsunda, at Ulfsunda Castle, has for a few years allowed promising artists to exhibit their art at the castle. Each exhibition lasts for three months and starts with a vernissage. Here artists get the opportunity to reach a wider audience that may not usually move to galleries but still appreciate the good of life.

“We have long used art as part of the interior and through the various art exhibitions at Ulfsunda Castle we want to showcase the artists we like, inspire our guests and offer unexpected experiences,” says Torbjörn Blomqvist, owner of Ulfsunda Castle and Stockholm Meeting Selection.

Welcome to vernissage and bubble on May 5th between at 15-17.
