By on January 23, 2019

The Body Shop is proud winner of Elle International Beauty Awards 2019.

Each year, over 40 beauty editors from all ELLE titles vote globally on their favorites among hundreds of new beauty launches that are tested and evaluated daily.

The 2019 winner is now ready and it is the vegan new launch Almond Milk Body Yogurt that takes home the prize in the category “Body Lotion of the Year”.

Body Yogurts are super lightweight gel creams that can be applied directly to wet skin and absorbed by the skin in seconds in a non-sticky finish so you can quickly dress after lubrication. Body Yogurts moisturizes the skin for up to 48 hours and the winning scent is a version with sweet almond scent that contains Community Trade-produced organic almond milk from Spain.

Elles motivation: “Whether you are 17 or 77, it is impossible to defend yourselves against these lovely lotions in fine packaging. If you are an animal lover, you are also glad that the yogurt product is vegan friendly and has a wonderful scent.” Elisabeth Martorell, Beauty Editor, ELLE France.

– We are honored by the Elle International Beauty Awards award and that this launch has become such a big favorite. Body Yogurts, which is a fast-absorbing edition of The Body Shop’s iconic Body Butters, was launched in May 2018 and has since had a steady position high up on the sales lists. Our body care is our signature so we are extra happy and proud of the amazing confirmation that this award means, says Matilda Wiechel, External Communications Manager, The Body Shop.
