MTR Express has since its inception in March 2015 had good cooperation the restaurateur Pontus Fritiof. Now presents a new spring menu for hungry and little hungry travelers.

To be a part of the MTR Express I am both pleased and proud of, says Pontus Frithiof. I take the challenge to participate and improve domestic food in Sweden very seriously. I am particularly pleased that our fantastic prawn sandwich is now making a comeback on the menu, on request, and that those who want to drink really good Champagne to it – for good price.

On board the MTR Express high-speed trains are always able to buy anything to eat or drink. For passengers who travel in first class option PLUS also includes always breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Cooperation with Pontus Frithiof has made it possible for our passengers to choose from carefully prepared dishes of both the lighter as a fuller character, says MTR Express service manager Emelie Johansson, who is also responsible for the food on board. It’s both fun and exciting to develop our joint concept by presenting our new refresh spring menu a la Pontus.

New this spring are:

Pontus Smörrebröd with a move made from chicken and mushrooms topped with bacon and pea shoots.
Vegetarian wrap with hummus and savory vegetables.
Sandwich with salami and cream of feta cheese and black olives.
Bagel with smoked salmon, horseradish and dill.
Spring’s sweet news is cupcakes (Pontus popular chocolate will also be present).

Food favorites from before, Pontus savory shrimpsandwich and the Asian lettuce remains. In addition, a sought-favorite in the replay back: open-faced sandwiches with roast beef calf curryremoulad, roasted onions and horseradish cream.

Spring menu are valid from 30 March, 2016.
