Timbuktu & Damn! to Grönan’s Big Stage

By on March 12, 2018

Rapper, language artist, artist and writer. With his roots in both the United States and Sweden, he mixes big questions with contagious rhythms and beats in an obvious way. And along with the vaporizers in the band Damn! they become a musical miracle which you can not resist yourselves from. August 21 at. 20.00 we welcome Timbuktu & Damn! out at Gröna Lund’s Big Stage.

Jason “Timbuktu” Diakité has many strings on his lyra and when he talks, regardless of art form, you listen. As a rapper and artist he has had countless hits such as ”Alla vill till himmelen men ingen vill dö”, ”Det löser sej” and ”The botten is nådd”. In recent years, he has also taken place as an important voice in the political debate, where he, among other things, received the Five-Twelve Movement award for his work on xenophobia. In 2016 his autobiography ”En droppe midnatt” was released, describing his family’s history from slavery America to the people of Sweden. A book that later became a performance in which he mixes a monologue with original music written by himself and Erik Hjärpe. When he performs as the artist Timbuktu, he rarely works without the gunmen and the talented musicians in the group Damn!, and the concert at Gröna Lund is no exception. August 21 at. 20.00 we welcome Timbuktu & Damn! out at Gröna Lund’s Big Stage.
