Three evenings with the country’s sharpest Spoken Word poets

By on October 9, 2018

Dramaten’s well-attended Spoken Word evenings with guest artists and DJs has become an appreciated tradition since the start of 2009. Now the autumn’s three evenings, which this time take place at Elverket, is released. For direction stands Niklas Mesaros who is guested by Navid Modiri, Maria Maunsbach, Aiman Jihar and Olivia Bergdahl. For the music stands Ana Diaz. Newly premiere November 29th.

This fall, five of the country’s most sharpest Spoken Word poets and musicians gather at Elverket. There will be three intense evenings filled with poetry and music, about life, love and the present.

– It’s good for us to try a new scene, it opens up for new thoughts and ideas about how a poet show can be done. What’s different this time is how close I’ve chosen to work with the combination of music and poetry, hopefully I find the right balance, says Niklas Mesaros, who for the sixth time stands for the direction of the Spoken Word.

Spoken Word at Dramaten has grown and grown over the years, from a modest start in Lejonkulan’s foyer in 2009 to taking place today at the theater’s biggest scenes.

Dramaten& Spoken Word, November 29-30 and December 1, Elverket.
