August is an intense month with a series of exciting programs in the calendar in addition to Jazz Monday, Allsång på Skansen and Children’s Sing along. The month begins with Pride the show, Sådant finns inte, then interspersed old and new, tactile and textile, Romani music with Evert Taube, the Babbles with opera…

Sådant finns inte on 2, 3 and 5 August
How do we look at HBTQ + in history? Whose love has been approved by the law? Sådant finns inte is a show among Skansen’s houses and farms during Prideweek. Collection at Seglora church.

Royal Philharmonicians together with young opera singers August 4th

Children’s sing along 5, 12 and 19 August
Every Sunday from July 1st, Sollidenscenen is full swing with the children’s sing along. A current artist attends the program and sing along conductors are Ayla Kabaca along with Daniel & Yankho, the Krumelur Orchestra, Kids Choir Spektrum, led by Marie Bejstam and young dancers from Lasse Kühlers Dance School.
5, 12 and 19 August at 2 pm

Jazz Monday 6, 13 and 20 August
Every Monday, jazz is performed on no less than four scenes. In the afternoon there is the veranda jazz at Gubbhyllan and Solliden Terrassen. At 19:00, Svante Thuresson is hosting Blue Monday on Sollidenscenen, where the great Swedish jazz musicians appear, and in the evening there is dance to Leif Kronlund and Skansen’s big band at Galejan.
6, 13 and 20 August from 17:00 to 23:00

Sing along at Skansen 7 and 14 August
Eight Tuesdays in the summer, it sings sing along both in real life and in live broadcast in Sweden’s Television with Sanna Nielsen as program leader.

Meet the Romans at Skansen 9 – 12 August
The Romans are one of Sweden’s five official minorities. Roman culture has been a part of Sweden for over 500 years. It’s a long story filled with narratives. During the Roman days, captivating stories are told, and you can enjoy the playful life, the music and the dance.

Taubedagen August 18th
A full day in Evert Taubes spirit with music and song, ending with a concert with Taubvisor and singing on Sollidenscenen with Kjell Lönnå, Solala, Jeja Sundsröm and Olle Persson.

GES 25 and 26 August
– How many times will we have the chance to say yes? Niklas Strömstedt comment on how it happened when GES started touring again. Now the summer tour of Anders Glenmark, Thomas “Orup” Eriksson and Niklas Strömstedt finishes at Skansen Sollidenscen.

Linen and wool 25 – 28 August
Follow the line and the wool’s path from fiber to finished product through bråkning, skäktning, pulling, hackling and spinning, and how spinning wheels and looms are used.

Sunday 26th of August is the Spinnrocka loss! competition in collaboration with Slöjd Stockholm. Follow the exciting competition in how a thread becomes!

Babblarna – First musical August 26th
See the children’s favorites at Sollidenscenen. Babblarna – The First Musical – is a story of love and thought about each other, about adventure, courage and about being different is also good. All packed with language development, special education and swinging music in the first place – performed with speech, signs, songs and dance.

Folk dance
Skansens folkdanslag has a show on Tingsvallenscenen Tuesday – Friday from 19:00 to 19:30 and weekends from 16:00 to 16:30.

Song play
Skansen’s fiddlers play at Älvrosgården Wednesday – Friday and at Delsbogården Tuesdays at 18.15-18.45.

Try pottery
On the pottery’s porch you can try pottery under expert management from 16 June to 19 August from 12:00 to 16:00

Dramatized views in Skogaholm
Pick up a ticket in the kitchen wing and enter the 1700s every day 18 June – 12 August at 13:00 and 15:00.

Little Skansen Theater
The Lill-Skansen Center provides performances four times each day. The audience may also join! All days 1 May to 30 September 11.00, 12.00, 14.00 & 15.00.

Games from before
Try go on stilts, jump jumping rope, roll barrel hoop etc. on the meadow at Hazeliushuset every day at 10.00-17.00.

Pony rides
The tours take place at the Bredablick tower.
1-10 June weekdays at 12-15, weekends 12-16, 11 June – 19 August every day 12.00-16.00

Forest Nature Trail
Go Skogsmulles nature trail on your own using a map and questions to experience animals and nature. Folder is located in the main entrance and at Lill-Skansen.

Galejans tivoli
Carousels, fish ponds and other fun for small fun-lovers. Open every day.

The pig – the farms omnivore
Animal feeders feed the Linderöds pig at Oktorpsgården every day at 10.45.

Talk about the reindeer
