This happen at Skansen in September

September month begins with pieces from Björn Skif’s life – when he gives the second concert of two at Sollidenscenen on September 1. Then there will be an interesting meeting with celebrating Poland 15-16 September and the year’s usual and popular autumn market at Sommarängen at Skånegården last weekend in September.

Finally autumn!
Theme of everything we take care of from the sea, the forest and the garden.

Björn Skifs – Pieces of my life
A journey through the five decades that represents Björn Skifs unique career with many dear reunions and a few surprises 31 August and 1 September.

KfS family day with Änglamarksgalan
There will be entertainment and environmental thinking in a good mix when KfS takes over Skansen on September 2th.

Polish days
Poland celebrates its 100th anniversary for the restoration of its independence. Attention is being paid to Skansen with a range of activities, food, music and crafts 15 – 16 September at 11.00 – 16.00.

Autumn market anno 1900
It is time for the annual autumn market, which takes place at Sommarängen, as it could be experienced around 1900. There are sales of hard craft, honey, jam, sausage and other good food, games, music, dance and serving of potluck. 29-30 September 11.00 – 16.00.

The midwife on Skansen
The midwife goes from Järnhandlarbostaden to Statarlängan and tells how it went when women gave birth to children before. Weekends until 21 October at 11.00 – 15.30.

Folk dance
Skansens folkdanslag has a show at Tingsvallenscenen all weekends from 16.00-16.30.

Song and dance play
Show of song and dance plays with children and for children at Tingsvallenscenen sundays in September at 15.30 – 16.00.

Little Skansen Theater
The Lill-Skansen Theater provides performances four times each day. The audience may also join! All days 1 May to 30 September 11.00, 12.00, 14.00 & 15.00.

Help in …
Travel in time and help with chores that were made in the homes before.
Help in Back Mats cabin and at Skånegården with farm jobs all weekends from 11:00 to 16:30.

Children in the 20th century
Pyssel on Ordenshusets porch with paper dolls and other fun all weekends from 11:00 to 16:30.

Plays from before
Play as great-grandmother and great-grandfather did about a hundred years ago. Activity leaders are on hand to teach every day from 10:00 to 17:00.

Pony rides
The tours take place at the Bredablick tower.
June 1-10, weekdays at 12-15, weekends at 12-16.

Meet Skogsmulle
Skogsmulle is in Skogsarbetarkojan and teaches all children about nature on September 8 at 12.00 – 14.00. Other days you can go to Skogsmulles nature trail on your own using a map and questions to experience animals and nature. Folder is located in the main entrance and at Lill-Skansen.

Galejans tivoli
Carousels, fish ponds and other fun for small fun-lovers. Open weekends if the weather permits.

The pig – the farm omnivore
Animal feeders feed the Linderöds pigs at Oktorpsgården every day at 10.45.

Talk about the reindeer
Presentation in English of reindeer all days 12.30 pm.

The animal of the day
Presented at the theater at Lill-Skansen every day at 13.15.

The European bisons return
Animal keeper tell about Europe’s giants and the role of zoos in nature conservation, at the European bisons auspices every day at 13.30.

Seals, herring and whistles
Animal keeper feed and tell about our seals, at the lower seal basin every day at 14.
