Junibacken places an increasing focus on children’s theater. The idea is that the theater will stimulate both children and adults to read more. As part of an ongoing development process, one wants to be challenged, and therefore invites Stina Rautelin to guest director Barbro Lindgren’s Sagan om den lilla farbrorn. The Premiere will take place on September 28 at 11.30.

– At the stage of the theater we put life into the characters and deep dive in the story. We want to give children and adults a common experience to talk about. This time about important topics like friendship, loneliness and vulnerability. Here, with the help of the theater, we can support both children and adults to talk to each other about the big and small questions of life. And it will be extra fun to work with Stina Rautelin in this project, says Mikael Kallin, artistic director at Junibacken.

– I was very happy when I got the question because Sagan om den lilla farbrorn is a very nice story. Dismal, but nice, and with a happy ending. Now, I also get the chance to work with amazing actors who are eager, loyal and take their work, and thus the children very seriously, says Stina Rautelin, director.

Eva Eriksson’s warm and personal illustrations form the basis of the stage scene and is central to the story just like the specially composed music by Åsa Jacobsson.
