When it comes to Ska development 2 Tone from Coventry so are The Selecter and The Beat two of the most important groups. Traditional will meet punk in a way that has not been done before and a cultural movement was running. The bands have been agreed for some concert dates – and thanks to the enormous interest, the tour plan is expanded – including a date in Sweden: Saturday 21 April at Debaser Strand in Stockholm!

The Selecter is fronted by charismatic singer Pauline Black – backed by talented musicians, with co founder Arthur “Gaps” Hendrickson in the lead. The band is more driven than ever, and hits like “Three Minute Hero”, “Missing Words” and “On My Radio” will shake Debaser Strand to the extent that the room may move a few meters closer to the water.

The Beat is fronted by ska-hero Ranking Roger and recently released their fourth album (“Bounce”) – the band’s first in 30 years. To the band also joins Ranking Junior aka. Matthew Murphy (son of Ranking Roger) who updates the band’s sound and contributes new energy to songs like “Mirror In The Bathroom”, “Stand Down Margaret” and “Too Nice To Talk To”.
