The producer iSHi launches The Alley – the magnificent single “No More” out now

The music genius iSHi has built a reputation as one of Sweden’s most powerful pop/urban producers in the last decade and has achieved great success, including with two singles who scored first spot on the UK leaderboard; “Written In The Stars” with Tinie Tempah and “Read All About It” feat. Emeli Sandé with Professor Green. Now he takes on a whole new role and will release his own music with invited feature vocalists under the artist name The Alley.

ISHi tells: “The Alley, which the project is named after an incident in LA with a major world artist, is my musical alter-ego. I play the piano and beyond my love for Hip-Hop, so I love big ballads that really can touch one. That’s what The Alley is all about, it’s classically written songs recorded with real instruments. I use well-known world artists as vocalists on the songs but without crediting them .. for now. I have a clear vision of the project so I produce, write the music and co-director, edit my videos and control everything about the look, the visual one too.”

Last Friday, The Alley released the first taste test, a brilliant song craft in the form of the single “No More”. ISHi and the long partner Eric Turner wrote in just a couple of hours and they knew at the time that they had created pure magic. It is recorded on a grand piano, with 24-man string orchestra and a first-rate vocalist.

ISHi has worked with some of the world’s greatest artists such as French Montana, Pusha T, Wale, WuTang Legend Raekwon, Wizkid, Emeli Sande, Usher, Shakira, Ne-Yo and Rihanna. His journey has gone from hip hop to pop to now grand ballads, which says a lot about his musical width. In the future, singles with namespoken features await vocalists.
