The Breeders ready for Gröna Lund

By on January 12, 2018

They broke through big with the song “Cannonball” 1993, which sent them on tour with no less than Nirvana. They reunited in 2013 before the 20th anniversary of the “Last Splash” album and last year, the new single, “Wait in the Car”, followed by sold-out concerts in Europe and the United States. June 28th at 20.00 we will welcome The Breeders to the Big Stage for the first time.

The Breeders was formed in 1989 in Boston, Massachusetts, among others by Kim Deal, who was also a member of Pixies. Their major breakthrough came in 1993 when they released the album “Last Splash” and the hit “Cannonball”, which sent them on sold out tours. First as a connection to Nirvana and then as own headline. In 2013, the band reunited with the 20th anniversary of “Last Splash” and now they are up to date with new material. 2017 released the new single “Wait in the Car” and when they are ready for a new tour, Gröna Lund was not late to book them. On June 28, we welcome Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Jim Macpherson and Josephine Wiggs in The Breeders to Gröna Lund for the first time.

– Both Pixies and The Breeders belong to my absolute favorite band. Pixies made a great play with us in 2014 and now we can finally look forward to seeing The Breeders for the first time at Gröna Lund’s Big Stage, says Johan Tidstrand, owner of Gröna Lund.
