Teaser about the new city museum at Slussen, Stockholm

The city museum in Stockholm has published a video about the upcoming new opening after renovation, November 1, 2018.

The city museum begins in the 1500th century city and ends in the present day. In the magazine and archives there are thousands of items and documents waiting to tell stories: wax dolls, archaeological finds, photographs, chairs, doors, sculptures, strange gadgetry, paintings, tiled ovens and much more. The city archive contributes with letters, maps, drawings and other documents that reflect the city’s development. Pictures, movies, animations and meetings with historical people will take you on a breathtaking journey through the history of the capital. And the city before the 1500th century, that story is told at the Medieval Museum.

In the meantime, the city museum will show up in other contexts. The facts room you meet at The city archives and we are in place in Östberga with an exhibition that will be shown in the fall of 2017. In addition we city wander – every day! Read more here>>
