Jasmine Kara released the Christmas song “Dear Mr Santa” and shows once again for us where the cabinet will be with her voice, one of Sweden’s strongest voices.

The song “Dear Mr Santa” was written in hot Los Angeles just a few hours before the departure to New York, the city where Jasmine now living in instead of LA.

It is inspired by Motown x-mas and her longing to spend Christmas in New York, as well as her second longing for the family on the other side of the world, and which she wants to spend every Christmas together with. Although it may sound like the song is geared toward a relationship, it is more focused on the love of family and friends and to celebrate with those close relatives.

– Los Angeles was never a home for me, and I felt very lonely, especially on the christmas. And all I wanted was to be with those I loved and cared for. But I wanted to make a happy uptempo christmas song that can warm and I think many people can recognize themselves in, says Jasmine Kara.

Her song was recorded in legendary Premier Studios at Times Square, Manhattan NY, where she used the same microphone as Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Coldplay. The well-known sound engineer Eryck Bry steered the levers behind the mixer table.

“Dear Mr Santa” is written by Jasmine Kara herself together with Farah Achour and Peter Madana. Gustav Efraimsson is responsible for production.
