Sweden’s leading fashion profiles in joint work

By on June 6, 2017

This year’s jury consists of profited profiles, all of which are exceptional in their areas. The jury has been chosen with care to circle in various skills from fashion and its cultural Environment.

NK Galan’s jury consists of chairman Elin Frendberg, CEO of Swedish Fashion Council, Pär Engsheden, designer and lecturer at Beckmans, Ingela Klemetz-Farago, photographer and style icon, Johan Lindeberg, founder of J.Lindeberg and BLK DM, Mats Gustafson, fashion illustrator and JoAnn Tan, creative director JoAnn Tan Studios. Together they appoint winners in the categories, Nordiska Kompaniets Framtidslöfte, Nordiska Kompaniets Stilikon and Nordiska Kompaniets Innovationspris.

The Nordic Company’s Honorary Prize is appointed by the Nordic Company. The fifth prize winner, Nordiska Kompaniets Varumärkespris, is appointed by NK’s customers by a vote starting August 23 at www.nk.se.

– This year’s jury is a strong and inspiring group of fashion and design profiles with broad knowledge covering several areas. It is with proud that, through NK Galan 2017, we once again praise outstanding creators of fashion and design, and we continue to strengthen NK’s heritage as cultural and commercial theater, says Daniel Stipich, Marketing Manager, Nordiska Kompaniet.

Those who then stand as winners will be revealed during NK Galan on September 25 at the China Theater in Stockholm.

When the Nordic Company opened its doors in 1915, visitors were impressed that the department store was so modern and technically advanced with innovations that have never been seen in Sweden. The Norwegian Company continues today to combine tradition with renewal and will, together with this year’s autumn campaign, keep one foot in history and put down the other in the future. A theme that will pervade the department store, the galan and the jury work.
