Summerburst returns to Stockholm Stadium!

By on March 21, 2018

The festival returns to the place where everything once began; Stockholms Stadion! The festival thus replaces the previously announced Östermalm IP. Summerburst performs its seventh year in Stockholm on June 15-16 with artists such as Axwell/\Ingrosso, Martin Garrix, Galantis and Diplo.

In late November, the tickets were released and a large part of the lineup for Summerburst in 2018. In connection with this, it was also announced that the Stockholm festival moves from Gärdet to Östermalm’s IP. Thanks to a thoughtful production solution, we can now move the festival a stone’s throw from Östermalm’s IP back to Stadion where the festival was conducted in the first years 2011-2013.

– We LOVE Stadium and Summerburst are the best in the beautifully framed nightclub environment that occurs there. It is definitely the best place to make Sweden’s biggest nightclub! We are very happy with Ullevi for Summerburst in Gothenburg and now we have finally managed to solve the same variant at the Stockholm Stadium as well – with three scenes, says Anders Boström, the festival general for Summerburst.

Summerburst will take place 1-2 June at Ullevi in Gothenburg and two weekends later in Stockholm. For this year’s lineup, the festival management allowed its loyal audience to vote for the artists they would prefer to see.

– We have the world’s best audience who really engages in the festival. To give back their love to them, we have let them vote for the artists they wish to see at the festival and it is precisely these wishes we made every effort to meet. We also know that since we left the Stadium of 2013, it was a great wish from the audience that we will one day come back. Summerburst 2018 will be the best year ever!, continues Anders Boström.

The festivals in Stockholm and Gothenburg are guest by Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Martin Garrix, Alan Walker, Nicole Moudaber, Heidi, Benny Benassi, La Fleur, Deorro and Will Sparks. The Göteborg edition will be supplemented by Armin Van Buuren and Hardwell, and to Stockholm will include: Diplo and Swedish Galantis.

In conjunction with the site change, some artists are added to the line-up. Added are State of Sound, Tungevaag & Raaban, Brohug, Booka Shade Live, Josefin Rosen for both cities. Sebjak, Very Addictive and Öszur Can for Love Affair in Stockholm and Too Many Left Hands, Ali Rouass, Jacky and Shakarchi & Stranéus for Gothenburg.
