Summer program on the library

By on June 29, 2017

On Stockholm’s summer open library, the staff will get outlet of their imagination as program organizers even beyond the semester. Both children and adults are invited to literary programs, physical activity, music entertainment – and a special afternoon for those interested of stone.

A lot of what is happening in the libraries can be done outside during the summer. At Alvik’s library packs a coffee basket at beautiful weather and the reading circles about classical and newly written stories take place during the barren sky, starting July 5th. At beautiful weather it will also be music coffee on June 28 on the square outside the library and the public office in Blackeberg, otherwise indoors. Even the one who is interested in vocally narratives can look forward to an outdoor program when Blackeberg’s library’s Berättarcafé’s moves out in the green on August 9th.

A favorite author with middle aged readers is Kristina Ohlsson. On June 28, Spånga Library arranges reading from her books in the green grass. The 5th of July is the reading aloud at Vällingby Library, and Kristina will be in her own high person on August 23rd. After the visit, cake is promised to all children.

Those who want to move their legs can accompany the library on excursions. On four occasions starting June 30, a jogging will be organized in Bromma and on 18 July, a guided walk will take place in the same part of town. On 16 and 17 August, the cultural enthusiasts can come to the Blackeberg Library for a joint trip into the city with museum visits. Societyguide are included.

Do you ignore in the sunshine and prefer computers? Throughout the evening of 28 June is it Wikipedia’s write cottage at Stadsbiblioteket and for children organizes Hagsätra Library drop-in meetings for Scratch programming June 30 and July 7.

Last but not least are all the stones interested welcomed to Hagsätra Library, June 28, where visitors get help to identify their own stones.

During the summer, the libraries also offer knitting cafes, language cafes, children’s movies, pyssel and other activities about books, knowledge and culture. Read the entire program in the Stockholm City Library calendar here >>
