SUM 41 to Gröna Lunds Maine Stage

By on June 6, 2017

Last week we were reached by the announcement that Blink-182 canceled its Scandinavian concerts, whereupon Gröna Lund’s Maine Stage was to stand empty on 21 June. But today we are pleased to announce that we instead managed to book the international punk band SUM 41, which, with frontman Deryck Whibley, will be on stage at Maine Stage on June 21 at. 20:00.

SUM 41 is a Canadian punk band since 1996, and has been nominated for most prizes, including MTV Music Awards and a Grammy 2012 for Best Hard Rock / Metal Performance. Their records have sold over 30 million copies worldwide, where the latest “13 Voices” were released in 2016, after a few years of resignation when the singer fought against abuse, but recovered stronger than ever. On June 21, they step out on Grönan’s Maine Stage.

– It is incredibly nice that, together with our booking company Live Nation, we could quickly find a good solution to our concert audience when Blink-182 canceled their concert with us. SUM 41 is a great band that usually gives over 300 live concerts a year. It will be a great night on June 21, says Johan Tidstrand, owner of Gröna Lund.
