Sony Music proudly presents “Fantasy” by George Michael featuring Nile Rodgers

In early 2016, George Michael sought the perfect single to release before the re-release of the “Listen Without Prejudice Vol.1” success album, which would be a double-CD and include the beloved and previously unveiled MTV Unplugged show of 1996 in London. George, who since the late 1980’s and his first recording wanted to see “Fantasy” as a single turned to hitman Nile Rodgers, the only man on the planet who could give “Fantasy” more funk than it already had. George and Nile, who spoke the same musical language, quickly found each other in the visions of the new version of “Fantasy”.

On Thursday, September 7 2017, finally “Fantasy” was released as single and becomes as planned the first song from the release of “Listen Without Prejudice Vol.1 / MTV Unplugged” released on October 20th. Around the album releases also the documentary “Freedom” wich George Michael was working with until the days before his tragic and sudden passing in late December 2016. The documentary about George Michael is hosted by stars such as Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Liam Gallagher, Nile Rodgers, Supermodels from Freedom ’90 (Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Tatjana Patitz and Linda Evangelista), Mary J. Blige, Tony Bennett, Mark Ronson, Tracey Emin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Kate Moss, Ricky Gervais, James Corden and many more.

George Michael is a beloved and celebrated icon that sold over 120 million albums during his career that lasted over four decades.
