Now it is clear: SkiStar opens slopes and lifts in Åre and Sälen this weekend. The profuse snowing in the country has created a strong demand for skiing in the mountains and booking pressure at SkiStar’s ski resorts are high.

The snow that has fallen over large parts of Sweden of the week is an early Christmas present for anyone who likes winter play and to ski downhill in the mountains.

Fantastic fun that we have received so much snow in large parts of the country right now! It is wonderful to see how children and adults finds snow joy and eagerness to get out into the fresh air again after a dark autumn, says Linda Morell, public relations manager at SkiStar.

Parts of SkiStar’s ski area Lindvallen opens its doors on Friday 18 November. The following day, Saturday, November 19, it is time for ski premiere in Åre.

Those who want skiing and nightlife of world-class finds it in Åre, and skiing families seeking themselves willingly to the snow play and winter snuggle in Salen. The past week’s snowfall has probably reminded a lot about how much they like to ski downhill and staying in the lovely mountain terrain. We have substantial pressure on the bookings, so it is high time to book their ski trip, says Linda Morell.

In Vemdalen, Trysil and Hemsedal is skiing open from 11 November. In Hammarbybacken central Stockholm required a longer period of sustained cold weather to start snow production.

New this year at SkiStar’s alpine destinations include the snowman Valles own ski school, where children are taught safe and secure skiing from scratch, and Valles Snölekis in Lindvallen with outdoor games for children. Those looking for adventure can try the new film service at SkiStar all Nordic ski resorts, and its snowpark ride filmed the clip and automatically uploaded to their MySkiStar account.
