Hand Spinning on Sewing and Crafts Festival, Stockholm International Fairs February 17 to 19

Do-it-yourself spirit is alive and well. Now glances more and more back in time at needlework techniques that lain in fallow for many years. Spinning its own yarn is such a trend. At the Sewing and Crafts Festival the visitor will find out how to do.

– Hand Spinning makes it possible to create exactly the yarn you need. It is also possible to use the wool that is not taken care of and can not be spun at large spinning mills. Once you learn the technique, it is a relaxing hobby where thread magically grows between your fingers.

It says Lillemor Elfgren on Limmo Design, one of the more than 200 passionate and knowledgeable exhibitors at Sewing and Crafts Festival at the Stockholm Fair 17 to 19 February.

But the exhibition has much more to offer. Here gets everyone who is interested in knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, jewelery making, weaving, felting, pottery, recycling etcetera, their fill. Here are yarns, fabrics, sewing machines, needles, buttons, etc. – that is to say the most that is needed to create own designs.

One of Sewing & Crafts Festival’s main features are the workshops held during the fair. Here can the visitor come as a beginner or build on their skills, learn new techniques and socializing with new and old hand labor friends. Creativity and creative joy are Sewing & Crafts Festival’s motto.

The fair attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year and the popularity is steadily increasing. The number of followers on Facebook has just passed 14,000 – which demonstrates the people’s movement needlework.
