Sara Stridsberg is awarded a literary sign at Beckomberga

By on August 14, 2017

On August 17, the latest addition will be launched among Stockholm’s literary signs, number 78 in the scheme. This time, Sara Stridsberg’s authorship is noted. The sign will hang in Klockhusparken Beckomberga.

The text that adorns the new sign is taken from the book “Beckomberga – ode till min familj” from 2014:

“It is said that old patients still return to the Klockhusparken at Beckomberga that they stand under the trees with their hands pressed against the sun-bleached façade, as if an institutional heart still beat in there, a weak human pulse to my hand as I touch the low blood red color of the facade . It is the shadows and voices of all those who were here once, they rise and sink in there like trapped birds … “

The opening ceremony is run by the cultural and urban construction borgarrådet Roger Mogert (S) and the author.

Time: 17 August at 15.
Location: Klockhusparken Beckomberga.
