Run for Sun with Sigtuna Solkraft on September 2th

By on August 24, 2018

The ideal association Sigtuna Solkraft loves solar electricity and therefore arranges Sigtuna Soldag on September 2 for anyone curious about solar power! We have chosen to have the day at Prästängshallen because one of the municipality’s larger solar systems is located on the roof of the hall.

– The association’s vision is that Sigtuna Municipality should be self-sufficient on solar energy. We want to make this possible, inter alia, by raising opinion in the municipality, both among politicians and local residents, says Fredrik Hellström, one of the members of the Board.

In order for more people to get their eyes open for solar power, we will arrange “Run for Sun” during Sigtuna Soldag, a guided run trip of about 5 km at a comfortable pace around some of Sigtuna’s solar power plants. It will be a win-win situation for both the environment and the breathing!

The association will also offer a vegetarian lunch and there will be an opportunity to listen to what our local politicians consider about solar power.

Sigtuna Solkraft Nonprofit Association has a new board and makes a fresh start to spreading information about solar power and inspiration for increased use of solar energy. The association wants to raise public opinion among politicians, entrepreneurs and residents so that the Sigtuna of the future becomes energy-proof and to help reduce climate threats. We at the Board also believe that it can contribute to a pride in the municipality.

The Board consists of Pernilla Olsen, Jens Johansson, Fredrik Hellström and Christine Bredereck.
