In 2017 expands Filmbasen support for short film and documentary and at the same time taking away the previous age limit. In connection with this is Rosa Fernandez hired as film commissioner with responsibility for aid management. The mission is a mandate of two years.

I am very pleased to have recruited Rosa Fernandez as film commissioner at Filmbasen, says Joakim Blendulf, director at Film Stockholm/Filmbasen. Rosa has a very interesting background with experiences from her own productions but also to create opportunities for others. With her skills, she will contribute an additional perspective to our support activities.

Rosa Fernandez comes from Sveriges Radio, where she works as an executive producer at P3 Documentary. Before then, she has been editor at SVT Short film, reporter at Verkligheten in P3 and Tendens in P1. She has made about ten self-produced documentaries (both film and radio) and worked with interviews for film and theater.

Rosa Fernandez has a bachelor’s degree from the Institute of Dramatic radio line (now StDH) and one started master in film and media at StDH. Previously, she studied gender studies, sociology and law at the university and documentary film at BiskopsArnö.

At the same time gets Anne-Marie Söhrman Fermelin a new role on Filmbasen as a senior film commissioner with responsibility for development. She will continue to be responsible for Filmbasen’s effort in the talent program STHLM debut but also get a mission to further develop Filmbasen’s forms of support and talent development for the future.

It also feels great fun that Anne-Marie Söhrman Fermelin, with her unique experience in talent development in Swedish film, can continue to develop our methods to create a creative strong and durable film environment in Stockholm, says Joakim Blendulf.
