Ramboll becomes the title sponsor for Stockholm Half Marathon

Ramboll and Marathon Group start a collaboration where Ramboll will enter as the title sponsor for the next three years with an option for another three years. Ramboll Stockholm Half Marathon will give participants and audiences a more powerful experience and more urban feel.

The Ramboll Stockholm Half Marathon takes place on September 15, 2018. The event dates back to the 1920s and has not had a title sponsor in the last three years. The race has attracted runners from all over the world. In 2017, 12 750 participants from over 80 nations were registered.

– We are very pleased to have received a new title sponsor in Ramboll. A company inspired by creativity and knowledge, just like Stockholm Half Marathon. Together we will lift the event and ensure that stockholmers get something to be really proud of, said Daniel Almgren, CEO of the Marathon Group.

– Ramboll is with and molds the society and we also want to improve the experiences of the people in the city. Ramboll Stockholm Half Marathon is conducted in the city building and on the infrastructure we develop. Therefore, it was logical for us to cooperate with the Marathon Group, thus contributing value to the entire races. We want to make it easy for many to get involved and that’s why we go into such a big folk sport as running. I have started training to participate in the race and hope for an experience beyond the usual, says Niklas Sörensen, CEO of Ramboll Sweden.

In conjunction with the name change, Ramboll Stockholm Half Marathon reviews a visual change, including new logo, new website and a new frame during the event itself.

– Ramboll Stockholm Half marathon has a unique course in the center of Stockholm, which we are very proud of. This year we focus primarily on the urban event experience and to push the participants to add that little extra. That we have a new title sponsor in Ramboll is our biggest news for this year – but it will bring rings on the water. This year’s event will be something extra, said Louise Fredriksson, project manager at the Marathon Group.
