Queen + Adam Lambert to Friends Arena

By on April 20, 2017

Just a couple of weeks after Queen + Adam Lambert released their North American tour with 26 stops, it’s now time to reveal more live shows for 2017, which means the band returns to Europe for 24 arena dates – where Friends Arena on November 21 will be the only stop in Sweden. The concerts involve a spectacular new stage production and a set list that will mean some surprises …

Tickets for the concert at the Friends Arena will be released April 26 at 09.00.

The legendary band, composed of founders Brian May and Roger Taylor with Adam Lambert on song, makes their only Swedish show at Friends Arena on November 21st. The tour continues then through Europe and Britain, where the tour ends with a major concert at Wembley in London on December 15th.

For the tour, the band presents a whole new show with a top modern stage production. The choice of songs will certainly also pay attention to the 40th anniversary of the band’s best selling album to date: “News of the World” from 1977 – with world hits like “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions”.

Queens drummer and co-founder Roger Taylor tells about the tour:
”it will look entirely different to the show we took around before. Production has really changed a lot, the things you can do now, you have a much broader palette, the technology has really come along. But we don’t use it all. We don’t play to click track. It’s 100% live. We’re planning on doing stuff we either haven’t done before or haven’t done for a long time. We started as an albums band, that’s what we were. The fact that we had hits was just a byproduct.”

We are now looking forward to Queen + Adam Lambert’s magnificent show – created by some of the world’s most creative talents, as design and production manager Ric Lipson (Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, U2 and OS ceremonies in Beijing 2008). On November 21 stands one of the biggest bands through the ages on a Swedish scene again – with a show that seems to be something very special. See you at the Friends Arena!
