The year 2017-2018 offered very large public successes for Kulturhuset Stadsteaterns theater stages at Sergel’s square. Billy Elliot, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf ?, Och så levde de lyckliga, Bang and Våra drömmars stad are just some of the plays that have become absolute public favorites during the game. 90 percent has been occupied by the theater stage at Sergels square during the play season 2017-2018 which is a new record of publicity compared to the last five years.

– I am very happy and proud of our performance year. We create and place the repertoire to our audience, and the numbers speak a clear language; The audience appreciates what we do! In the fall we will continue to mix classics with newly written, farces with musicals and monologues. We want to offer Stockholmers a swinging repertoire that befits a brave, modern folk theater, says Anna Takanen, theater and performing director of Kulturhuset Stadsteatern.

Kulturhuset Stadsteatern aims to be a concern for all Stockholmers with freedom of speech and the artistic freedom as a basis.

– In times when theater visits are decreasing in Sweden, which the Culture Analysis Agency’s latest report shows, it is particularly pleasing that the theater salons at Kulturhusets Stadsteatern have been packed during the 2017-1800 season, says Sture Carlsson, President of the City Hall Theater House.

The coating ended up at 89.9% for the stage performance of the theater at the Sergels square in the 2017-18 season. In the number includes also guest play.
