Poetry from five continents on this year’s Poetry Fair

For the fourth year in a row is Poetry Fair arranged at the City Library. March 24 to 25 are invited adults and children into a brimming and star-packed program with stage talks, readings, workshops and much more.

Some of Sweden’s foremost poets like Marie Lundquist, Jenny Tunedal, Marie Silkeberg and Jonas Modig visiting the City Library during the fair, as well as several international stars on the poetry heaven. Poets from Asia, Africa, Europe and North and South America are presented during the fair with talks and readings. Performing Poetry receive special attention this year with the voices of, among others, Revolutionary Poetry, Förenade Förorter and, all the way from California, poets Chris Vannoy and David McIntire. But it is not only contemporary poetry on the agenda, but we will also present the immortal poets, as Yeats, Dickinson and Lorca, in brand new clothes.

Poetry Fair for Children and Youth
Poetry activist group PQESI [pekuesi] holds workshops for those between 15-25 who want to get started with writing poetry or find new ways to express yourself. Small poets from five years upwards can both listen to and create their own poems with Grandma Märta. In addition, there are funny and touching poetry hints and poetic crafts available throughout the weekend.
