On October 25-26, the Clarion Hotel Amaranten in Kungsholmen will become pink in favor of the Breast Cancer Association. Together with the artist Tess Merkel, Hairtalk Scandinavia and the Breast Cancer Association, the hotel creates a weekend filled with, seminars, inspiration, music, live podd and much more to empower and lift women. The idea of the event is to spread knowledge and open up for conversations about breast cancer, which is the most common form of cancer for women in Sweden.

Every hour, a woman gets breast cancer in Sweden, 20 percent of these women do not survive. The Breast Cancer Association is Sweden’s only non-profit organization that focuses solely on breast cancer and now Clarion Hotel Amaranten in Stockholm is creating an entire weekend to highlight their important work.

– The Pink Power Weekend collection weekend will be both a wonderful and important end to the international breast cancer month in October. To achieve our vision that nobody should be affected by breast cancer, we fund research, disseminate knowledge about prevention and conduct opinion formation in breast cancer issues. With the cooperation with Clarion Hotel Amaranten, Hairtalk and several strong partners, we can continue to be at the forefront and continue with the work ahead, says Marit Jenset, secretary general, Breast Cancer Association.

The weekend is packed with activities such as after work with female DJs to important seminars with, among others, Fabian Bolin from War on Cancer and Malin Berghagen on life and health. On Saturday, visitors will have the opportunity to mingle among seminars, among various actors such as Hairtalk Scandinavia, Mom of Sweden, Box Ball and Annica Wallin.

– The weekend feels extremely important as many have a close relative or acquaintance who has just suffered from breast cancer. We hope that Pink Power Weekend can become a forum for support, knowledge, understanding and inspiration. The idea is that this weekend will be a single big energy boost for visitors, says Hanna Holfve, Marketing Manager, Clarion Hotel Amaranten
