Pettson, Nassim Al Fakir, Billy Elliot – and much more are available for children and young spring 2017!

Audience successes Pettson & Co. and Billy Elliot – The Musical is coming to Stockholm, major investment in TioTretton and Nassim Al Fakir as the host of family concerts. There are some of spring’s news in the extensive range of children and young people at the Culture City Theatre.

0 years or 100? On the Culture City Theatre is something for all ages, especially the youngest, whether you want to go to a concert, theater performance, exhibition, film, dance or visit a library.

Pettson & Co. was a great success when it was shown last year at Dunkers culture house in Helsingborg. On March 11 opens the exhibition in Gallery 5 at the Culture City Theatre. Most of us has through books, films or television seen Sven Nordqvist stunning imagery and now given the opportunity to step into it. Pettson & Co. is an interactive exhibition filled with activities for the whole family where everyone, regardless of age can have childish fun!

Nassim Al Fakir is the new host for family concerts in our popular series Ready, Set, concert !, every second Saturday in the Auditorium. Season premiere January 28 when Nassim Al Fakir plays songs from the album Nassim springer runt och säger hej. Thereafter it is guest musician every timesometimes Nassim plays the main role, and sometimes takes guests over the stage while he is sitting in the audience and jamming together with all the children.

This year we are investing heavily in TioTretton, the library for everyone between 10 and 13 years, who in March will reopen in larger areas. Already February 24 is showing the exhibition All-time dinosaurs, based on Johan Egerkrans book of the same name, on Room for Children. In May recurs Young comics festival as part of the Stockholm International Comic Festival. At Lava Library & Workshop include workshops for everyone between 13 and 25 years in screen printing, 3D printing and DJ-ing.

On the Main Stage continues Astrid Lindgren’s Mio, my Mio and William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet on the Main Stage. On February 10, it is time for the Stockholm premiere of Billy Elliot, a musical about daring to be who you are. For the youngest audiencebabiesMarionette Theatre presents DaDaDa, by Helena Nilsson. And children / youth scene in Skärholmen sets up Norrtullsligan, based on Elin Wägner’s feminist classics, with among others Guldbaggen winner Maria Sundbom.
