Paul Rey takes Sweden by storm

By on May 6, 2017

Paul Rey, actually named Pauli Jokela, released yesterday the new single “All Falls Down”, a magnificent pop song with soul and gospel influences. Rey’s talent is demonstrated not less than 42 seconds into the song when his voice explodes in waves of grand beats. The song is further developed when his voice is complemented by a full-scale choir and it becomes apparent that wherever music takes skåningen, “All Falls Down” comes from now being the kind of unique signature melody he wants to associate with.

The song was made in just 30 minutes by Rey himself together with the producer Andreas Roos. Co-producers have also been Martin René and John Alexis.

“All Falls Down is about the feelings that arise when one gets let down by a person that you have laid all your trust with, and how everything you’ve built up suddenly rages tells Rey.

Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist have already achieved impressive milestones in his career as a 24-year-old. A couple of years ago, he came into contact with the music legend Quincy Jones, who was enthusiastic to Rey’s talent, took him under his wings and then worked as his mentor. Jones says about Rey: ”He knows how to pull together the science and the soul. The soul comes automatic but the science you have to work for.”

Rey released the EP Good As Hell via Epic Records in the US in 2015 and has since been on tour with Fifth Harmony and Nico & Vinz, performed at the South By Southwest festival, as well as dedicated time in the studio to write new music. In February, he released the single California Dreaming together with Arman Cekin and the superstar Snoop Dogg. “All Falls Down” will be the first single from his upcoming EP, including Meghan Trainor and Nico & Vinz. Paul Rey is ready to take Sweden by storm.
