Paul Rey celebrates fiancee in the power single “Soldier”

By on February 1, 2018

2017 was a fantastic year for the 25 year old Paul Rey – Snoop Dogg co-operation California Dreaming sold platinum, three successful singles were released in Sweden and P3’s music publisher appointed him the “Future Artist”. Now he is ready to move on, and the first step is the song “Soldier” – a magnificent gospel and soul-inspired tribute to fiancee Dalia’s, released last Friday.

“Soldier” is written by Paul together with Isak Hallén, Rikard de Bruin and William Jerner. It’s a tribute to a person and a relationship, but far from a rosy glittering cliche to love song. In the song accommodated contrasts – the verses melancholy is about a life that is not always easy to carry, while the choruses raises Paul Rey’s constant rescue. He has had his fiancé Dalia by his side for eleven years. In September this year they marry.

“It’s hard to be touched by lyrics that are just ‘oh god, what I love you and what things are good’. ‘Soldier’ is about that she is there for me, no matter what happens. I liked the metaphor with a soldier who continues to fight even after the war is over – so much I can trust her. When it’s tough times, she’s always there for me. Even when the war is over, she continues to struggle.” Paul Rey says.

2018 will be an exciting year for Paul Rey who plans to release more music and announce exciting live plans shortly. Please enjoy.
