Now Ropsten’s second hand paradise opens again

2000 square meters second hand, on three floors. One of Stockholm’s most popular second-hand stores opens the gates again in January with noise, bang and a dose of hand-picked Nordic design. Myrornas most visited shop is expected to attract many bargains hungry stockholmers to Ropsten during the opening weekend.

Myrorna Ropsten is often referred to as one of Stockholm’s best second hand stores and has become an outing destination for stockholmers in search of a unique bargain. The store sells nearly half a million goods each year and is the one of the second-hand chain’s 34 stores that selling the most, and is the most popular one. During a year, the crown jewel has been renovated.

– We have had the ambition to create Stockholm’s freshest second hand – with a clear department store feel and a wide range. I think we have succeeded! Until the new opening we have filled the store’s 2000 renovated square meter with lots of selected goods. In addition, during the opening weekend, we have a small extra focus on Nordic design in the assortment, says Caisa Ingemarsdotter, Sales Manager, Myrorna.

During the renovation, the shop has been housed in a temporary, and smaller local at the same address, but from January 25th, Myrorna Ropsten is again found in the classical premises. Myrorna hope to motivate more people to make sustainable purchasing decisions:

– With the initiative, we want to enjoy the experience of our recurrent customers, but also to attract brand new. We at Myrorna see our investment in Ropsten as an investment in the future. We prepare for Swedes readjustment into a sustainable lifestyle! If we want more people to trade sustainably, we need to make it easy to shop with us, for example by focusing on offering a wide and attractive range, says Caisa Ingemarsdotter, Sales Manager, Myrorna.

Every week about 8,000 items are sold in the popular Ropstens store. It gives important rings on the water. The surplus from Myrorna’s sales goes to social work such as sheltered women’s living, treatment center for abuser, summer camp or breakfast, heat, shower and clean clothes to a homeless person.

Myrorna Ropsten opens the gates on January 25 at 10.00 on Kolargatan 2. The opening day keeps the shop open for an hour longer until 19.00. The store is able to submit gifts. In addition, gifts can be given to the shop via the Tiptapp service, thanks to the pilot project “Tiptappa till välgörenhet”.
